BCLUW drama department to present "You Can't Take It With You"

It’s an old-fashioned love story with an old-fashioned twist: Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl plan to live happily ever after, but first, they’ve got to meet each other’s families. And when that finally happens, everything goes haywire.
           
“You Can’t Take It With You,” a classic Broadway comedy, is this year’s BCLUW spring production, and it tells the tale of a fateful encounter between the Sycamores and the Kirbys. The Kirbys, led by their patriarch grandfather (Ben Paper) who’s also a small-time crook, have never quite been able to conform to the established norms of society. His son Paul and Mr. De Pinna, who showed up to deliver ice and never left, spend most of their time concocting illegal fireworks and smoking pipes, and his sister Essie and her husband Ed occupy themselves badly attempting to ballet dance and play the xylophone, respectively.
