AGWSR's Mandy Willems shot a 98 to finish 10th in the individual standings at a 1A district final at Spring Valley Golf Course in Livermore. She finished three strokes away from qualifying as an individual for the state tournament.
Cougars teammate Mollie Abkes shot a 109, placing 18th.
"Mandy has improved so much in these two short seasons that she has played golf," AGWSR coach Stacy Bergeson said. "Being so close should give her confidence moving into next year.
"Mollie has a bright future ahead of her. ... I have confidence that next year, she will even go farther in her career. ... I'm excited about how this season went and even more excited for how well this team can do next season."
Grundy Center shot 413 as a team at a Class 2A regional final in Lake Mills, 30 strokes shy of Ogden in second place and missing out on qualifying for the state tournament.
