Bright and hopeful class of 2016 graduates from GCHS

Sunday afternoon was filled with laughter, tears, smiles and hugs as the Grundy Center Class of 2016 celebrated their graduation with family and friends at the commencement ceremony held in the high school gymnasium.
 
The ceremony began with a heartfelt thank-you speech from the Class of 2016 President, Stephanie Wallen.
 
“I would like to thank parents, teachers, friends and family for the guidance, support and patience you’ve shown us throughout our high school career. Because of the knowledge you’ve instilled in us, we’re ready for the next big step in our lives,” she said. “To my classmates sitting in front of me today, I’d like to thank you all for the memories, laughter, tears and fun times. As you go forward in your life, don’t be afraid to take risks and never be afraid to go after what you truly want in your life.”
