Brother’s Market to celebrate grand opening

GRUNDY CENTER – In early December of last year, Grundy Center Family Foods was acquired by Parkersburg-based grocery store chain Brother’s Market. Under Brother’s Market, there have been drastic renovations and improvements made to the store at 1400 G Ave.
Now, just over five months later, the remodeling project is wrapped up – for the most part – and the new ownership is ready to show off the product of their hard work at their Grand Opening ceremony next Thursday.
Matt Lauver, store manager at Brother’s Market in Grundy Center, said that what customers will see at the grand opening is a whole new store.
“The whole store’s been gutted,” he said. “Not one thing hasn’t been updated.”
Among those updates are: the addition of a full service meat counter, a café seating area by the expanded deli, an expanded freezer section and general expanded and updated displays and offerings – not to mention the gas pumps have been brought back with a rewards program.
