GRUNDY CENTER – After a rough start, the Grundy Center boys basketball team is bringing its 'A' game to the court.

The Spartans won their fourth consecutive game with a big 74-46 win over BCLUW on Saturday night in Grundy Center.

Tanner Appel led Grundy Center with 13 points, four rebounds and three steals. Joe Johnson added 11 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks and Mitchell Munson led a productive Spartans bench with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting.

"[Coach Joe Nelson] came into the locker room and told us we're doing things that we should've been doing the entire year, but that we've caught on now after Christmas break," Appel said. "Winning feels like the norm now, and it feels good."
