REINBECK - Small towns aren’t especially known for art and culture, but the committee in charge of the Reinbeck Art Festival is trying to change that.
Since the festival first started seven years ago, the committee has worked to spotlight and support local artists from all over the area.
This year, for the festival’s seventh anniversary, the committee’s hard work is paying off, as even more vendors than ever before are lined up to showcase their work at this year’s festival.
A total of 30 artists and crafters will be set up at the Reinbeck Art Festival - which will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees will discover a wide variety of art and crafts at the festival, as well as a Show and Shine Car Show chaired by Carl Roeding and advisor Wade Van Hauen, and live music by Kirk Eastman followed by Darin and Kendra Mangrich.
There will also be a variety of other fun activities for visitors of all ages. Brenda and Friends will be hosting Children’s Art activities; Jayne’s photo booth will be there to photograph attendees with fun props; Ana Love of Loony Balloons will create interesting creatures from balloons; and the Reinbeck Lions Club will be hosting Duck Races. In addition, the restaurants, bars, stores, and the new brewery will all be open with specials, and there will be listed areas with wine tasting and one with soda tasting as well.
