Food trucks and a change order for the Main Street repair project dominated the discussion during last Thursday night’s regular meeting of the Conrad city council.

A survey of select cities within an approximately 60-mile radius revealed that all of them but two (Dysart and State Center) currently allow food trucks, and most of them charge some sort of fee to the vendors.

Mayor Jeff Martin told the council that he saw the area by Reunion Park as a prime potential spot for food trucks.

“I feel like that’s probably a good option for us,” he said. “My vision is that maybe we can have a couple of spots down there designated.”
