DIKE – Ellie Foster and the Dike-New Hartford girls basketball team took it to Aplington-Parkersburg in a high-stakes NICL East game on Monday night.

The Wolverines drummed up a 13-0 start on the Falcons, an early advantage that ended up being too much for A-P to overcome in a 72-52 D-NH win.

The Falcons and D-NH are now tied in the NICL East, with both teams having one game left to play. They'll share the league title if D-NH defeats Wapsie Valley on Wednesday and A-P beats back Sumner-Fredericksburg on Saturday.

D-NH junior Ellie Foster scored 30 points to lead all scorers, one off her school record of 31 points achieved earlier this year against Sumner-Fredericksburg. Foster, a UW-Green Bay commit, scored 16 points in the first quarter alone, with Morgan Weber contributing nine points on three big 3-pointers.

"The thing I love about my girls is they aren't shy about pulling the trigger," D-NH head coach Bruce Dall said.
