REINBECK – Madison Denny-Weber wants to show what the little schools can do in college athletics.

The Gladbrook-Reinbeck senior signed with Marshalltown Community College's women's volleyball team last Wednesday after a breakout senior season that ended with her receiving honorable mention on the Class 1A all-state volleyball teams from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Denny-Weber was the setter for the state-qualifying Rebels.

The Tigers afford Denny-Weber an opportunity to see if she can continue her athletic growth into the collegiate level.

"I honestly wasn't sure if I wanted to play sports in college," Denny-Weber said. "So going in for two years to see if I want to keep playing will be a good decision."

Denny-Weber averaged 8.26 assists per set this fall for the Rebels, adding 148 total digs in 91 sets to go with 23 ace serves on 202-of-225 serving at the line.
