GRUNDY CENTER – Matt Lindeman knows it's a players' game.

Even though Grundy Center's girls basketball head coach knew career win 100 would happen at some point this season, he said he wasn't necessarily counting down the wins.

But Friday night in Grundy Center was the night, as the Spartans rolled East Marshall 67-26 and honored their coach at center court during halftime of the boys game in Grundy Center.

"I knew at some point it could happen," Lindeman said. "But all of this is just a byproduct of the girls that are playing. I've been very fortunate in my short time of being here to have girls that are willing to work hard and do what is asked of them to do; fortunate to have a tremendous coaching staff around me over the years. … These girls over the years have laid it on the line every night for the Spartans, and that's pretty special."
