GC man charged with child endangerment

A Grundy Center man faces an aggravated misdemeanor charge of Child Endangerment after a July incident during which he allegedly became violent toward a minor female.
           
A criminal complaint alleges that Matthew Steven Fox, age 33, pushed the victim against a wall and held her there by the face and throat at his home, located at 903 I Avenue, on July 14. He was arrested on August 28 and appeared in court before being released.  Fox has since been issued a no-contact order against the alleged victim.
           
GCPD Captain Kyle Waugh has taken the lead on the case, and at press time, he had not responded to a request for comment. A trial date has not yet been set.
