Kickbush, Rebels blast Comets

REINBECK – Caden Kickbush and the Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys basketball team wanted to get back to playing G-R basketball.
 
The Rebels bounced back from a tough nonconference loss the day prior, blasting BCLUW 71-36 in Reinbeck on Friday in NICL West action.
 
Kickbush finished with a game-high 34 points and added 11 rebounds and three steals.
 
Just 24 hours prior, Aplington-Parkersburg slammed G-R 75-38 in Parkersburg.
 
"We had to prove that wasn't us," Kickbush said. "We wanted to bounce back and play our game."
 
G-R was able to piece together a 10-0 run to start the game and led 19-7 after the first quarter. G-R led 35-17 at halftime.
 
Jackson Kiburis contributed nine points with six rebounds and a team-high four assists for the Rebels.
