Butler began her professional career in social work, most recently working at Valley View in Eldora for eight years, and began to take on administrative and business duties when a fill-in was needed before eventually becoming a provisional administrator. She went on to take classes from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to obtain her administrator’s license, and after enduring a commute almost 40 minutes from Union to Marshalltown daily, the opportunity to work in Conrad came as a welcome change.
