One person injured in motorcycle crash near Dike

DIKE – Following a motorcycle-car accident near Dike on Wednesday afternoon, a Waterloo man has been taken to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries.
The accident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at the junction of D-19 (160th Street) and T-65 (X Avenue), approximately three miles east of Dike.
Jeffrey Cosby, 49, of Waterloo, was headed eastbound on D-19 on his motorcycle when he slowed to make a left turn onto T-65 and was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Hall, 49, of Grundy Center.
Cosby sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Covenant Hospital. Hall was not injured. Both vehicles sustained damage.
The accident remains under investigation by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting was the Dike Fire and Ambulance, Sartori Paramedics and Iowa State Patrol.
