D-NH advances to 2A regional final

DIKE – The Dike-New Hartford girls golf team gained a good deal of confidence in advancing to next Monday's regional final golf meet after a second-place finish at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike on Monday, May 14 in a first-round regional tournament.

D-NH's 387 team total trailed only New Hampton's 341 tally at the end of the 18-hole tourney. West Marshall also qualified for the regional final with a 392 team score as part of a new IGHSAU rule that allows an extra team to qualify for the regional final if the host team finishes in first or second.

Morgan Weber paced the Wolverines with a 3-over-par 75 to claim overall medalist honors. Weber had two birdies, three bogeys and one double bogey.
