State volleyball brackets (w/ Tuesday's results)

Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Dike-New Hartford, state volleyball qualifiers from The Grundy Register coverage area, now know their quarterfinal opponents at next week's state volleyball tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
 
On Wednesday, Nov. 7, Dike-New Hartford (35-12) will play Unity Christian (30-6) at 4 p.m. in a Class 2A quarterfinal. Gladbrook-Reinbeck (28-9) will take the floor against Janesville (43-5) in a 1A quarterfinal later that night, with start time approximately 6 p.m.

DIKE-NEW HARTFORD 3, HUDSON 0: The 2A No. 6 Wolverines won in straight sets in Parkersburg, knocking out No. 13 Hudson (31-7). It was D-NH's second win over the Pirates this season after a four-set victory on Sept. 20. D-NH won 25-11, 25-23, 25-22.
 
GLADBROOK-REINBECK 3, AR-WE-VA 1: The Rebels, No. 11 in 1A, are returning to the state tournament for the first time since 1988 after Tuesday's regional final win in Boone. The Rebels improved to 28-9, winning the match 25-15, 18-25, 25-19, 25-22.
 
WILTON 3, GRUNDY CENTER 1: The Beavers, 2A's 11th-ranked team, brought the fight to the top-ranked Spartans at Cedar Rapids Xavier High School and capitalized on Grundy Center's errors to stop the Spartans short of the state tournament. Wilton won 25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 25-22. Grundy Center's season comes to a close at 39-4.
 
TRI-CENTER 3, BCLUW 0: Tri-Center denied BCLUW its first trip to the state volleyball tournament and in turn punched its ticket for the first time in 33 years with the win in Earlham. Tri-Center won 25-22, 25-14, 25-17. BCLUW ends its season at 26-12.
