The Grundy County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a $41,000 contract with Karr Tuckpointing for the courthouse building during its regular meeting on Monday morning.

Chairman Mark Schildroth called Karr “an honest outfit” and praised the company’s work at his church in Reinbeck, and they had previously worked with the county 10 years ago.

After several weeks of proposals and workshops at meetings, a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2020 budget will be held on March 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Assistant County Engineer Steve Cox presented corrugated metal pipe (CMP) quotes, and the board approved Northern Iowa Construction Products and Illowa Culvert and Supply as the official suppliers.
