During its regular meeting on Monday morning, the Grundy County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution that will ask the county’s social services department to pay for just over $300,000 of the approximately $1.1 million new annex building project.

In proportion with how much of the building the department will occupy, the total number is actually $304,856, and Regional Coordinator of Disability Services Todd Rickert presented the resolution to the board before it was approved unanimously.

County Engineer Gary Mauer reported on several items during his time on Monday morning, and the board approved contract documents with KW Electric on intersection lighting, a final pay request from PCI for a project and a fuel quote for the Buck Grove and Dike shop locations. The resignation of Doug Petersen was also accepted. Mauer received a stop sign request for an intersection just south of Ackley but said that he felt it did not warrant action at this time.
