Two local women to be inducted into UNI Women in Business Hall of Fame

Two local women will be among nine women from around the state to be inducted into the UNI Women in Business Hall of Fame later this month.
 
The Women of UNI Business Hall of Fame is sponsored by the UNI Women in Business student organization and the UNI College of Business. Students in the organization research and nominate women from around the state to be recognized for their achievements and contributions in the field of business.
 
This year’s induction ceremony will take place at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at the UNI campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 26.

Mary Doak
 
Longtime Grundy Center resident Mary Doak is one of nine women who will be inducted into the UNI Women of Business Hall of Fame later this month. Doak grew up in Eldora and later attended UNI where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education.
 
 
Troyce Fisher 
 
Grundy County native and longtime educator Troyce Fisher is one of nine women who will be inducted into the UNI Women of Business Hall of Fame later this month. Fisher grew up on a farm in Grundy County between Wellsburg and Ackley, and later attended UNI where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Economics.
 
After graduating from UNI, she started out her lifelong career in education right here at Grundy Center High School, where she taught social studies for seven years.
