AGWSR’s Finger awarded Tiby scholarship

AGWSR’s Grace Finger is the winner of a Mark Tiby Scholarship, one of several distributed by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association as acknowledged in a recent press release.

The scholarship’s value is $500 and can be used for an Iowa college or university of their choice. Applicants for the scholarship required a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have lettered in at least one sport offered by the IGCA and must be a daughter of an active Iowa coach in one of the IGCA sports, provided the coach is also an IGCA member. Girls were also asked to submit a one-page paper reflecting on being a coach’s daughter and how this could impact her future.

Finger is the daughter of AGWSR girls basketball head coach Mike Finger.
