BCLUW welcomes three new teachers for 2019-2020 school year

BCLUW’s three newest teachers are young, relatively new to education and ready to hit the ground running this fall.

Two of the three originally hail from the Aplington-Parkersburg area: Haley Schneiderman, a Parkersburg native, is entering her first year and will be teaching third grade, and Cassie Schrage, who grew up in Aplington, is actually taking the position her husband Landon held last year teaching high school business. Louis Reicks, originally from Lawler, is in his first year teaching Social Studies and Special Education at the high school. For Schneiderman and Reicks, it’s their first year out of college, and Schrage had previously substitute taught but is taking on her first full time gig.

All three see BCLUW as an inviting district and a great place to educate.

“The closeness (to home) was a big thing as I applied in the first place, and as I interviewed, I just felt really welcome with all the teachers and staff here,” Schneiderman said. “It made it really to choose this place as the place I wanted to work.”
