Wednesday, Feb. 14 was a landmark night for Justin Beenken.

While bowling in the Classic Bowling League he scored a record high series of 805.  His games were 265, 283, and 256.  This is believed to be the first ever 800 series in a league at Crystal Bowl.  He attempted to throw a strike 33 times that night and was successful an amazing 28 times.  During the second game, he threw strikes the first ten attempts, his eleventh attempt was a big spilt which ruined his chance at a perfect 300 game.

Justin has achieved the feat of an 800 series before but, not in his hometown house of the Crystal Bowl.

“I am thrilled to finally achieve this very difficult accomplishment here at Crystal Bowl," Beenken said. "This is where I first learned to love bowling and the fundamentals of the game. Jason Appel has done an amazing job of providing a great bowling experience in Grundy Center."
