Carol Harken McLaughlin

Carol Nadine Harken McLaughlin was born to Lester and Louise Harken on March 21, 1940, in Holland, and died peacefully at home on October 6, 2014.
Carol graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1958 and from Allen Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1961. She moved to Seattle and worked as a RN in Surgery at Swedish Hospital for 43 years. Carol enjoyed playing bridge, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, sewing, knitting, and camping. She was a regular at the Swedish Hospital Information Desk on Wednesday mornings after retiring, and volunteered at the Cancer Society Discovery Shop in West Seattle on Monday mornings. Carol was united in marriage to Bruce McLaughlin in 1965.
