Comet track competes at Wartburg

WAVERLY – BCLUW girls and boys track and field competed at Wartburg College in an indoor meet on Tuesday, March 14.

Tyler Bracy placed second in the boys 200-meter dash in 23.73 and ran the lead leg of the fourth-place 4x200 relay team that finished in 1:40.14, with the baton going from Bracy to Liam Speicher, Alex Paxson and Wyatt Gould.  Connor Lynch was a runner-up in the boys 400 in 54.20. 

The girls had a pair of top-10 finishes: Kailan McEwen was 10th in the shot put with a best throw of 30 feet, 10.25 inches and the 4x800 relay quartet of Klayre Gallentine, Leila Wedgwood, Izzy Morris and Abby Kemp placed 10th in 12:01.26.
