During a brief meeting last Thursday night, the Conrad city council set a public hearing on a $70,000 loan to be used for sewer upgrades for next month and discussed plans for the upcoming ‘comprehensive study’ to be conducted by Iowa State University students.

The hearing will be held at next month’s meeting on Thursday, February 14, and Mayor Jeff Martin said that it would go toward mandated updates in the city sewer system.

Library director Susan Blythe presented her fiscal year 2020 budget with an overall increase of about $3,000 (two percent) to a total of $138,188.
