Cougars continue streak with win over Denver

DENVER – The AGWSR Cougars continued their winning ways with a 28-6 Class A District 4 win at Denver last Friday night.
After a scoreless first quarter, quarterback Cody Williams called his own number twice to cap off a pair of Cougar scoring runs in the second period and put AGWSR up 14-0 at the half.           
The Cougars continued their short, steady ground gains in the second half, leading to two scoring runs in the third quarter, one by Levi Stockdale and the other by Josh Balvanz. Caleb Meinders capped off the AGWSR’s total scoring with a safety in the fourth quarter to make it 28-0. Denver put up their only points of the night with a fourth quarter 48-yard touchdown run by Isaac Barrett.
