Cougars fall to Rebels 48-42

ACKLEY – The AGWSR boys’ basketball team dropped a close NICL-West game against Gladbrook-Reinbeck Tuesday, 48-42. The Cougars’ game scheduled for Friday at South Tama was postponed until Thursday, Jan. 16.
AGWSR (4-2 overall, 2-2 NICL-West) is scheduled to play Aplington-Parkersburg at Parkersburg on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck 48, AGWSR 42
A tie game at 13 by the end of the first quarter, Gladbrook-Reinbeck took a slight 25-21 lead at the halfway mark. AGWSR brought the game to within two by the end of the third, but Cougar turnovers and key buckets by the Rebels clinched the win for G-R.
