D-NH FFA receive recognition at sub-district, district competitions

The Dike-New Hartford FFA recently competed at the Southwest Sub-District Convention in Cedar Falls (Feb. 20) and the Northeast District Convention at Beckman Catholic High School (March 11).
At Sub-Districts, nine FFA members competed in 3 different leadership competitions. Danielle Wagner, Devon Lotts, Kiersten Christiansen, Emma Opoien, Elyse Folkerts, Abrielle Pokorny, and Keegan Bolhuis competed in the Conduct of Meetings competition and received a Gold Rating and was selected Alternate to Districts. June Volding competed in the Ag Broadcasting contest and also received Gold and Alternate to Districts. Josey Syhlman served as Creed Speaker and received a Silver Rating.
At Districts, three FFA members were in attendance.
Aidalyn Tott competed in the Chapter Website competition and earned the 1st place spot out of 15 chapters. She will present the chapter’s website again at State FFA Convention in Ames on April 17th. Danielle Wagner and Emma Opoien served as representatives of the chapter to vote on District FFA business.
