Dike-New Hartford volleyball head coach Diane Harms will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame this week.

The Wolverine coach, who will begin her 20th season at D-NH this fall with 15 state tournament appearances and eight state championships to date, will be part of this year’s class of 38 coaches from 25 states honored this year at the national convention at the Prairie Meadows Hotel in Altoona, Iowa on Tuesday, June 21.

Harms’ record with D-NH is 715-128, with an overall coaching record of 980-222-40.

Hall of Fame selections are based on longevity, service to high school athletics, honors, and other state-specific criteria. The NHSACA is the oldest coaches’ association in the nation formed by coaches.

“Her commitment to our student-athletes has never faltered in her 19 seasons as head volleyball coach,” said D-NH superintendent Justin Stockdale. “She deserves this recognition as an incredible coach, and we are proud to have her as a constant inspiration to our entire athletic department.”
