Delbert Gene Jungling was born on February 19, 1937, in Aplington, Iowa.

Delbert Gene Jungling, 86 of Grundy Center, Iowa, gained his wings and departed earth on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Arlington Place Memory Care where he resided since November of 2023. Services will be held at a later date as Delbert selflessly donated his body to the University of Iowa Medical College so that others may learn. Memorials may be directed to Grundy Center Emergency Services, Grundy County Memorial Hospital or to the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck.

A celebration of life will be held at the Community Center in Grundy Center on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Fire Department Honors at 6:00 p.m.
