G-R volleyball wins South Hardin tourney

ELDORA – Gladbrook-Reinbeck volleyball didn’t drop a set in five victories at a South Hardin tournament in Eldora on Saturday.

G-R defeated Grand View Christian, Oelwein, Central City and beat Greene County twice, including a 22-20, 21-10 win in the championship.

Ava Wyatt had nine kills, nine digs and two blocks in the championship match. Breehan Dubberke had three aces on 6-of-7 serving.

Wyatt finished the day with 35 kills and 33 digs. Megan Cooley had 24 total kills and seven total blocks, and Emma McClintock added 92 assists to her season totals.

The Rebels, ranked fourth in Class 1A, are 11-4.
