German exchange program could expand to full year

GRUNDY CENTER — Over the past two weeks, Grundy Center High School and Grundy County have hosted guests from the Krummhorn region of Germany. And there is a chance the program could expand.
Krummhorn’s acting mayor, Frank Baumann, said last week that he would like see students from the region come to Grundy Center for longer at a time.
“(The exchange is) very good and our students are happy to be here, so we want to grow it to make it an exchange for a half year or one year if possible,” he said. “We talked with your school director about this and we just want to invite culture clubs from Grundy County to our area.”
