Girls basketball roundup: Knock scores 23 in D-NH win
DIKE-NEW HARTFORD 58, DENVER 35: The Wolverines hit seven of 18 three-pointers in a rout of the Cyclones.
D-NH senior Katie Knock led all scorers with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-6 made from 3-point range.
Ellie Foster contributed 12 points, and team-leading marks in rebounds (5) and assists (6).
D-NH led 18-3 after one quarter and 32-15 at the halftime break.
AGWSR 39, APLINGTON-PARKERSBURG 35: The Cougars were boosted by a good third quarter in the cross-NICL win at A-P High School.
Entering the second half trailing 18-15, AGWSR rallied with a 15-6 third quarter and eventually held off the Falcons.
WEST MARSHALL 40, BCLUW 31: The Comets didn't have the shots falling enough to keep up with the Trojans on Tuesday.
Allison Engle led the Comets with 13 points and added six rebounds. Betula Messerly grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists to lead BCLUW in both categories.
West Marshall went ahead 26-17 at halftime. BCLUW played the Trojans even in the second half. Avril Sinning led the Trojans with 15 points. West Marshall was 6-of-11 from 3-point range.
