Grundy Center football suits up for Saturday practice

Grundy Center football parents and media were invited to a Saturday morning practice on Aug. 13 at the Spartan practice field, wrapping up the first week of practice. Grundy Center is looking to continue recent success after three consecutive state title game appearances. “We’ve got a lot of new faces that are kind of integrating themselves at the varsity level,” said Grundy Center head coach Travis Zajac. “There’s been a lot of teaching. … Our newcomers are coming along really well, our numbers are solid, and we’ve had very, very good energy.”  The Spartans scrimmage against West Marshall this week and the season begins at South Hardin on Aug. 26.
