Grundy Center Players to present ‘Hospital’

GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy Center Players will present their third annual spring play this weekend, “Hospital,” a two-act play written by Tim Kelly.
The play is written as a farce set at Bedside Manor Hospital. The hospital’s chief resident, Dr. Jeckyll (played by Aaron Beck Brunk) believes that a laugh a day will keep the doctor away. According to publisher Pioneer Drama, “The staff is a lovable bunch of zanies, and the new interns are an eager lot, even if Dr. Huggems (William Douglass Kirchmann) passes out at the mention of blood. Female volunteers, called Band Aides (Candice Meyer and Lizzy Moore), spend their time watching their favorite TV program,  “Of Human Bandage,” while a film crew wanders through the halls making a documentary, “This Was Your Life.”
Other key players include Shana Sanderson as Miss De Farge, Chloe Anderson as Dr. Fred, Eli Harberts as Dr. Snapgrass and Alex Sealman as Dr. Pinch.
The play is directed by Steven Brunk.
The play runs approximately 90 minutes. Show times at the Grundy Center High School Auditorium are 7 p.m. Friday, March 27 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29.
