After a strong senior campaign in volleyball and basketball, Grundy Center's Leslie Homeister announced on Twitter last week that she'll continue her education and athletic pursuits with Coe College volleyball.

Homeister had 113 kills for the state-qualifying Spartans this season and had 22 ace serves in 227 successful serves. The 6-foot Spartan also led the team in total blocks with 71 stuffs, seven solo.

"Thank you to everyone that has helped me get to where I am today," Homeister tweeted. "Go Kohawks!"

The Kohawks roster already has some NICL flavor, with Dike-New Hartford alum Sydney Lage set to enter her sophomore season next fall on the Cedar Rapids campus. Lage played 14 sets for Coe in the 2019 season, with the Kohawks going 15-18 overall and 5-3 in conference in DeAnn Woodin's 14th year as Coe head coach.
