Hudson shuts out AGWSR
HUDSON – Three turnovers hurt AGWSR football’s limited opportunities to get on the board in a 10-0 struggle at Hudson on Friday.
The Cougars (3-3) play their home finale against Nashua-Plainfield on Friday. AGWSR needs a win to stay in the hunt for a Class A District 3 playoff spot.
Kaden Abbas finished with 20 carries for 109 yards to steer the Cougar rushing attack. Bo Gerbracht was held to 5-of-22 passing for 37 yards and two interceptions by the Hudson defense, which also recovered a Cougar fumble.
The teams were nearly even in total offense – Hudson 188, AGWSR 171 – but the Pirates kept the ball out of the Cougars’ hands for much of the game.
Ben Puente made 16 total tackles for the Cougars, including 2.5 for a loss. Bradly Roder added 6.5 total tackles.
