IF-A/AGWSR girls 2nd in Mason City

MASON CITY – Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR cross country runner Ellie Meyer won her second meet of the season at Mason City Newman's home invite last Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Meyer earned girls' medalist honors with a winning run of 19 minutes and eight seconds. The Cadets were second to the hosting Knights in the team standings, scoring 81 points to Newman's 66.

After Meyer, the Cadets' scoring runners were Teah Miller in 4th in 22:15; Abby Harding in 8th in 22:54; Kate Pfaltzgraff in 27th in 25:17 and Trinity Rotgers in 47th in 26:23. Sidney Schafer added a 49th-place run in 26:38 and Presley Mulford was 53rd in 26:58.

In the boys' race, IF-A/AGWSR finished in 11th with a 244 team score. Clear Lake was the team champion with a 68 score and Riley Witt of Saint Ansgar was the meet medalist in 17:05.

Jaden Bartlett led the Cadets with a 34th-place run in 20:13.
