Karen Bachman

Karen Bachman, 82, of Union, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Liscomb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.

Karen was born August 15, 1938 to Denzil and Murine (Glenney Shaver) Bachman in her grandmothers house near Union. She grew up on the farm learning hard work and Christian values. Karen was united in marriage to Duane Bachman on November 12, 1955. She ran Buy & Sell with her father for over 20 years in Union. Karen made many friends all over the country while working at Buy-Sell. She loved playing the organ at a number of churches. Karen enjoyed working in the yard and spoiling her little dogs.

Karen is survived by, four sons, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, a son in infancy, her parents, a brother, and a sister.
