Kiburis earns 3rd all-state honor

For the third season in a row, William Kiburis is on the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association’s all-state boys basketball teams, named to the first team of the Class 1A squad in teams released on Tuesday.
Kiburis was also a first-team pick in 2022 and was on the third team in 2021.
He averaged 26.1 points per game in his senior season, adding eight rebounds, eight assists and 2.8 steals per game for the Rebels. He also helped lead G-R to their first state appearance since 2017.
Waukee Northwest’s Pryce Sandfort was named Mr. Basketball. The University of Iowa recruit led the Wolves to a state runner-up finish in Class 4A.
