Koop named IGCA Player of the Year
Dike-New Hartford senior Rachel Koop has been named the elite of the elite among Iowa high school volleyabll players, earned Elite Team Co-Player of the Year honors on all-state teams announced last week by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
Koop is joined by teammate Briana Weber, a three-time Class 2A Player of the Year, on the Elite All-State team. Other area all-staters, all in Class 2A, included Grundy Center’s Riley Sents and D-NH’s Lizzy Blough on the first team, Grundy Center’s Alyssa Mathews on the second unit and both Grundy Center’s Katie Lindeman and D-NH’s Brooke Morgan on the Honorable Mention list.
