AGWSR 62, NORTH TAMA 60: The Cougars were able to outlast a 31-point flurry from North Tama’s Gabe Kopriva to win in Ackley.

Daniel Stahl scored 18 points with 14 rebounds; Darren Veld and Gabe Nederhoff added 13 points each and David Koop had eight points with 11 rebounds and nine assists.

Kopriva was 12-of-34 shooting, including 7-of-22 from 3-point range. North Tama made 11 of 41 3-point attempts.

Girls

G-R 35, BCLUW 27: The Rebels completed the season sweep of the Comets on Friday with a strong second-half effort in Reinbeck.

Megan Cooley scored 10 points; Katie Clark added five points, six rebounds and five steals. Five different Rebels scored at least five points in a balanced offensive performance.

Allison Engle led the Comets with 10 points and Chloe Walters added nine points and seven rebounds.

Nathan Graves added 16 points and Braxten Johnson scored 12 points.

The Wolverined led 30-22 at halftime and added a 15-8 fourth-quarter advantage to seal the victory, including 17-of-28 shooting from the free-throw line for the game.

A-P outscored G-R 27-6 in the second quarter for a 46-16 halftime lead.

Lily Dripps scored eight points to lead G-R. Katie Clark and Megan Cooley added seven points each and contributed nine and eight rebounds, respectively.
