Lippert, Boomsma earn All-Conference honors at NCC meet

HUMBOLDT – The Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR runners closed out the regular season with the North Central Conference meet at Humboldt last Tuesday night, where girls’ team ran to a fourth place team finish and the boys went fifth among eight NCC teams.
According to Coach Jamie Maxwell, the Cadet girls went into the meet expecting a top five finish, and edged out Webster City by eight points to take fourth.
“The girls went out and ran with great effort and heart tonight on a challenging course with windy conditions,” Maxwell said. “We have talked all season long about racing strategy and passing as many runners as possible to help with the team score.  The girls definitely used this strategy tonight to help us achieve our fourth place finish.”
