Local 20-year-old opens dance studio
GRUNDY CENTER — At 20 years old, most young adults are not even dreaming of opening their own business, let alone one where they’re teaching others.
Kara Heinrich is not like most 20-years old. The Wellsburg native had the dream and is following it as she prepares to open Grundy Center’s first-ever dance studio, Movement Dance and Fitness.
“This is my long-term goal, to open a studio,” she said Monday as the Grundy Center Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the studio located along G Avenue in downtown Grundy Center. “There were a lot of friends who wanted me to teach their kids. There was a lot of peer pressure, but it was something I wanted to do.”
