Local Pizza Hut presented with national award

GRUNDY CENTER – Recently, the Grundy Center Pizza Hut team, under the management of Kathy Mock, was awarded the “Number One Scorecard” award - an honor reserved for the top performing Pizza Hut store in the nation.
The award, which is given out annually, ranks stores on a number of different criteria, from customer satisfaction to employee turnover to food portion control and more.
This isn't the first time that Mock, who has been with the store since it first opened in 1987, has received recognition within the company.
Several times, her store has been the Number One Scorecard in the region - which is Iowa - and two years ago, she came close when the store was the Number Three Scorecard in the nation.
But the competition wasn't easy - Mock and her crew of 20 employees had to beat out over 1,200 different Pizza Hut restaurants within NPC (the largest Pizza Hut franchisee in the world) to win the award.
