Luhring earns weekly MIAA award

​Kyah Luhring, a Grundy Center alum, earned the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week award for her work with Northwest Missouri State University volleyball last week.

​Luhring, a sophomore with the Bearcats, earned the award for the first time in her career. She averaged 5.17 digs per set as Northwest downed No. 25 Central Missouri, No. 10 Washburn and Emporia State. She had a career-high 25 digs in the win against Washburn.

​The Bearcats are currently ranked 13th in the AVCA Division II Coaches Poll.
