GRUNDY CENTER – Residents of Grundy Center who’ve been dreaming of tamales and tacos can rejoice – a Mexican restaurant is set to open in Grundy Center as early as next week.
Valentin Garcia, Grundy Center’s newest business owner, will be offering authentic Mexican cooking locally at his new restaurant: Pancho Villa.
“I’m really excited to be opening here,” Garcia said. “I feel like this is a great community, and I think we’ll do well here.”
For the past several months, Garcia has been working on the plan for the restaurant, which is located in the old Johnny Ray’s building on Commerce Drive.
