National Honor Society inducts 12
GRUNDY CENTER — The largest group in recent memory was inducted to the Grundy Center High School Maggie Gray Chapter of the National Honor Society Friday evening.
No fewer than 12 students were inducted to the Society. Students are selected by school faculty based on their adherence to the five NHS principals: eternal knowledge, scholarship, service, leadership and character. New members included seniors Madison Kuester, Shana Sanderson and Harper Wells, and juniors Jordan Graham, Sydney Hogle, Piper Johanns, Blake Kelley, Katie Lindeman, Alyssa Mathews, Kayla Mathews, Katherine Ross and Stephanie Wallen. Current members, who conducted Friday’s ceremony, included Esther Edgerton, Melanie Homeister, Michelle McIntire and Brock Rohler.
Guest speaker for the event was Grundy Center Secondary Principal Dr. Ann Lebo, who spoke on how different people react to different situations in different ways and choose their own path.
