Riekena elected chair of Board of Supervisors
GRUNDY CENTER — The Grundy County Supervisors approved annual committee appointments and elected a new chair and vice-chair during last Thursday’s organizational meeting.
Harlyn Riekena was elected chairman of the board, replacing the outgoing Jim Ross, while Mark Schildroth was elected vice-chair.
County Attorney Kirby Schmidt presented the annual assessment of County compliance of the Red Flag Rule, which helps prevent identity theft, noting that he feels the County does not need a written rule to be in compliance. He added that the county should continue to review this policy annually.
