BOYS BASKETBALL: Hudson 79, Dike-New Hartford 41
A rough shooting night graced the Wolverines on the road at Hudson on Friday, hitting three three-pointers. Junior Colin Meester had nine points, junior Devon Lotts eight points. 
Dike-New Hartford (4-3) hosted AGWSR on Tuesday and will travel to Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday before heading into winter break.  
 
BOYS BASKETBALL: Gladbrook-Reinbeck 65, AGWSR 20
25 turnovers, including 13 forced, hampered the Cougars’ offense in their NICL West loss to the Rebels. AGWSR got much of its offense from senior Gabe Nederhoff with 16 points and seven rebounds. 
 
BOYS BASKETBALL: South Hardin 53, Gladbrook-Reinbeck 51 (OT)
If last week wasn’t exciting enough with a school record broken, it started off with an overtime win for the Tigers with NICL West title implications. While South Hardin struggled with turnovers (31), they were efficient offensively (52.4 field goal percentage) to hold on as the Rebels stormed back with a 24-10 final quarter to tie. 
Senior Michael Boyd led the Rebels with 21 points and 10 boards. Senior Drew Eilers had 13 points and seven rebounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Dike-New Hartford 68, Hudson 31
The 2A top-ranked Wolverines earned their sixth win in a row with a rout of the Pirates on Friday behind a dominant game in the paint and on the boards (37 rebounds to 24). Hudson was held to 25.5 percent shooting and didn’t outscore the visiting Wolverines in a single quarter. 
Senior Payton Petersen picked up a double-double of 30 points and 16 boards, along with four assists and three steals. Senior Maryn Bixby joined her in double figures with 12 points, seven steals, five assists and three rebounds. Junior Madde Buskohl nailed three triples for nine points. 
DNH (7-1) hosted AGWSR on Tuesday before heading into winter break. 
 
GIRLS BASKETBALL: AGWSR 67, East Marshall 32 
The Cougars made their home in the paint, dominating the boards (33 to 20) and scoring most of their points around the rim. AGWSR outscored East Marshall in all four quarters in their 17th consecutive win over the Mustangs. 
Junior Josie Kuper had a stacked double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds (eight offensive) to go along with six blocks and two steals. Senior Ava Olson also put together a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Trevyn Smith finished with 12 points and six rebounds. 
With Friday’s win over South Hardin, the Cougars are currently tied with Grundy Center for first in the NICL West with both teams 3-0 in division play. 
 
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Gladbrook-Reinbeck 52, South Hardin 36 
A competitive first half flipped to a one-sided final quarter as the Rebels went on a 19-9 in the last eight minutes to secure a big NICL West win over the Tigers. South Hardin went 0 of 11 on threes and were killed on the board 42-34. 
G-R sophomore Kennedy Brant matched a school-record 23 rebounds to go along with a game-high 21 points. Sophomore Elly Sieh finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. 
 
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Grundy Center 60, BCLUW 30
The Comets committed 23 turnovers in last week’s non-conference home loss to former NICL West rival Grundy Center on Tuesday. 17 of those turnovers were steals by the Spartans. The biggest difference, however, came at the free throw line. Grundy Center went 11 of 15 and BCLUW never got to the line. 
Senior Sydney Anderson and junior Klayre Gallentine each had nine points to lead the Comets, nailing all six of BCLUW’s three pointers. Sophomore Grace Farnsworth had six points and four rebounds. 
Farnsworth earned her fifth double-double of the season in Friday’s 48-34 home win over Colo-Nesco with 22 points and 13 boards. Gallentine joined her in double figures with 10 points. 
BCLUW (5-4) traveled to Janesville on Monday and will host East Marshall on Thursday before heading into winter break. 
 
GIRLS WRESTLING: Siems takes 155 pound championship in IFA tournament
AGWSR girls wrestling competed in a tournament hosted by Iowa Falls-Alden at Ellsworth Community College on Friday. Rory Siems won the 155 pound bracket with three pins. Madison Ibeling placed second at 110 lbs, and Elsie Kuper sixth. 
 
GIRLS WRESTLING: APGC fifth at Iowa Falls-Alden tournament 
Sophomore Grace Storjohann won the 120 pound championship with a late pin over BCLUW-SH’s Ceanna White in the finals. Sophomore Ellie Reints (125 pounds), freshman Lila Reints (145 pounds) and sophomore Zoey Uhlenhopp all reached their respective finals and were pinned.   
 
GIRLS WRESTLING: Graves, Cedar Falls undefeated in duals at Battle of Waterloo
Dike-New Hartford junior Macie Graves and 2023 defending State champs Cedar Falls competed in the Battle of Waterloo hosted at Young Arena on Thursday, going undefeated against five opponents. 
Graves, who wrestles at 155 pounds for the Tigers, went 4-1 with two pins. She picked up two forfeits (Denver, Waverly-Shell Rock) and had falls in 39 seconds and 2:32.
